Brenda Jean Magee, 61, peacefully transitioned to her home in glory on June 12, 2020 while at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Brenda was born July 13,1958 to the late James “Poole” Magee and Lillie Mae Conaway Magee. She received her education in the Caroline County School System graduating from Colonel Richardson High School in 1976. Brenda continued her education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) and graduated in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Brenda worked for Maryland Plastics, Inc. in Federalsburg for over 36 years until her health failed. She was a dedicated employee having earned many consecutive awards for 23 years of “Perfect Attendance”. Brenda enjoyed cooking, eating out at restaurants, shopping, reading the bible, traveling and singing God’s Praises with the “Second Generation Community Chorus” of Federalsburg, Maryland. She was also an avid North Caroline Tar Heels and Washington Redskins fan. Brenda was one of the Second Generation Community Chorus’s founding members and during her tenure she served as Treasurer. Brenda’s relationship with the Lord started at Zion United Methodist Church, Federalsburg, MD at an early age. Brenda served the church in many capacities. She was an honorary member of the United Methodist Women, Past Treasurer of Zion U.M.C. and Treasurer of the Second Generation Community Chorus. She also participated in many of the church’s fund-raising activities. Brenda and friend Elaine Hubbard would also worship monthly at Bethel U.M. Church in Federalsburg, MD. Brenda loved socializing with her family at their home for various events, as well as, socializing with her many friends and their families. Brenda was “loved” by everyone she came to know and love. Although she was not blessed with having children of her own, she had many “adopted” children and was affection ally known as “Aunt Brenda”. She would often volunteer to do whatever was needed to assist a family member in any capacity. Her heart was filled with “love” for all. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Lillie M. Magee, brother Larry Magee, sister, sister Patricia Magee all of Federalsburg, nephew Andre T. M. Magee, Cambridge, MD; cousin/nephew Omar Bolden, Federalsburg, MD; great-nephews Jazmir I. Smith, Seaford, DE; Andre Caleb Magee, Easton, MD; great-niece Charlize Lillie Magee, Easton, MD; uncles Clarence (Gloria) Baltimore, Preston, MD; Ralph (Evelyn) Baltimore, Clinton, MD; Carlton Magee, Dover, DE; and aunt Beatrice Craft, Federalsburg, MD; God Sister, Marilyn Neal, Preston; two god-daughters Miniiuah Neal, Laurel, MD; and Jackie Davis, Bridgeville, DE; second “Mom” Mrs. Helena Griffin, Federalsburg, MD; the Griffin Family, the Second Generation Community Chorus, her Maryland Plastics family, many cousins from the Magee, Conaway, Baltimore, DeShields and Darden families, along with many beloved and special friends from the Class of 1976 of Colonel Richardson High School. There will be a walk though viewing on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Due to COVID-19 regulations, there will be no seating and we ask you to view and immediatley leave the building so hat others may view behind you. Services will be private. Burial will be at Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg.
