    Bryan Francis Turbitt

    October 22, 1946 - January 4, 2022

    Bryan F. Turbitt, Jr. of Federalsburg passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. He was 75. He was born on October 22, 1946 in Ridgely, Maryland, the son of the late Bryan F. Turbitt, Sr., and Eleanor Greenhawk Turbitt. He married Grace Eileen Matthews Turbitt and they made their home in Federalsburg. He worked as a truck driver for most of his career. He worked for Haines Holt in Federalsburg, Koski Trucking, and later for Blue Hen Lines. He later worked for DuPont in Seaford. Bryan loved history and enjoyed reading war books. He was an Alabama football fan and also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Grace Eileen Turbitt of Federalsburg; four daughters:Patricia Turbitt Frase of Preston, Michelle Vargo and her husband Craig of Pasadena; Ashley Turbitt Gauniel and her husband Luther and Stephanie Turbitt all of Federalsburg; ten grandchildren: Randy Jr., Mindy, Christa, Jeffrey, Chelsie, Victoria, Alexander, Carter, Dominique and Emerson; a special "daughter" Cristal Smith of Brooklyn, MD; and three brothers: Frank Turbitt and his wife Linda of Laurel, DE; Paul Turbitt and his wife Carol of Hurlock; and James Turbitt of Seaford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Billy, Pat & Linda. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 2:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Keith Colona officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org.
