On May 15, 2019, Ethel Beatrice Nichols departed her earthly life at home surrounded by family. 86 years ago, on a Thursday, January 5th 1933, Ethel was born to the late Deacon Arson Henry and Essie Alice Nichols in Finchville, MD. She was the seventh and last child. Ethel B. Nichols was educated in the Bloxsom Elementary School and then on to Frederick Douglas School in Seaford, DE. She was employed at the Richard Hardesty Inn in Seaford, DE as a cook. After moving to Hurlock, she worked as a home health aide. She really loved cooking and taking care of everybody’s children, seems she never got enough. After moving with the love of her life Joseph Newcomb, Ethel became the mother of six children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Reggie Nichols, five sisters, Elsie Parker, Francis Cornish, Evangeline Cornish, Dorothy Nichols, and Audrey Jackson, and one brother, Reese Nichols, one daughter, Maureen Newcomb. She leaves to remember her love, Joseph Newcomb, Sandra evans, Ronald and Elizabeth Nichols, and daughter Violetta, Tonya, Debbie, two sons, Tayvon and Kevin Newcomb, a very large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.
