    Lisa Harper Smith

    November 12, 1968 - May 2, 2022

Lisa Harper Smith passed on Monday, May 2, 2022 after a long illness. She was born on November 12, 1968 to the late Dale Harper and Linda Harper in Easton, Maryland. Lisa was educated in the Talbot County Public School system. She graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1988. She received her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from Chesapeake College. Lisa worked at the Headstart Children’s Center providing early childhood care. She later worked for the Caroline Center working with special needs children as a Community Living Assistant. She loved spending time with her family, eating crabs at the Old Mill Crabhouse, attending church and bible study, cooking, dancing and singing, eating Red Hots (if you know, you know), vacationing in Ocean City, shopping, her dog Dora, and enjoying life. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Dale Harper; grandparents, James and Eurith Harper; great-grandparents, Anthony and Velma Basel; and sister, Faye Harper. Lisa leaves behind to cherish her memory: her mother, Linda Harper; brother, Jay Harper; sisters, Annie Harper and Daisy Harper; daughters, Ashley Sherwood (Cutter) and Amber Harper (Bryant); grandchildren, Graham and Wes Sherwood; partner, Darren Palmer; nieces, Phoebe, Alyssa, Olivia, Victoria and Peyton; nephew, Hunter; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lisa was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Framptom Funeral Home – Ostrowski Chapel on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 312 S. Talbot Street, St. Michaels, MD 21663 from 1–2pm. A private service will be held for immediate family following the visitation.
