MaryAlice "Mimi" English Pacious, 66, passed away July 2, 2021 in Easton, Maryland following a long illness. She was surrounded by her family. Born on August 13, 1954 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Thomas J. English and Annemarie Jordan English. Raised in Rockville, MD, she was a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Cross. She attended the University of Maryland and graduated from Saint Leo University in St. Leo, FL in 1978. Mimi worked for many years as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance before transitioning to a full time homemaker to raise her four children. Mimi met her husband, Mark E. Pacious, in 1977 and they were married in 1981. After several years in Austin, TX, the couple returned to Maryland where together they raised four children. With a love of design, she planned and supervised the construction of their home in West Friendship, MD as well as the renovation of their home in St. Michaels, MD. She was an exuberant wife and mother who treasured family gatherings with her extended family and is remembered for her infectious laugh. She was a tenacious advocate for her family and instilled in each of her children a strong sense of purpose. Mimi also had avid interests in furniture restoration and genealogy. However, her greatest joys were her four grandchildren whom she delighted in spending time with, teaching them solitaire, introducing them to Shirley Temple, and sneaking them treats. She was predeceased by her parents. In addition to her husband of forty years, Mimi is survived by her four children: Paul (Kelly), Shannon, Meaghan, and Theresa and four grandchildren: Jordan, Madeline, Amelia, and Michael. She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon English, Patrick English (Jill), Thomas English (Melette), and Maureen Hudren (Matt). Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Mission Church, 109 Lincoln Ave, St Michaels, MD 21663 on Friday, July 16 at 11am with reception to follow.
