    Ryan Lee Toomey

    July 31, 1982 - October 21, 2018

    Ryan Lee Toomey of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his home. He was 36. He was born on July 31, 1982 in Easton, Maryland, the son of the late M. Renee Collins and Harvey “Butch” Toomey, Jr. of Hurlock. Growing up in Federalsburg, Ryan graduated from Colonel Richardson High School with the class of 2000. After graduation, Ryan attended college taking computer programming courses. Ryan also received his welding certification and enjoyed this kind of hands on work. He worked in various positions in the welding and fabrication field to include climbing cellular towers taking him to a many destinations. Ryan was happily employed by M&M Refrigeration of Federalsburg. Ryan enjoyed creating memories with his children...everything from trips to the beach, the zoo and celebrating a birthday by flying an airplane. Ryan was always ready for adventure and liked to live on the edge. He loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, hands-on projects, four wheeling, and spending time at the gym. Ryan leaves behind those he dearly loved; he is survived by two children, Ryleigh M. Toomey and Gavin L. Toomey, his father, Butch Toomey, two brothers, Shawn Toomey of Hurlock, and Connor Toomey of East New Market, MD, his maternal grandparents, Sue & Dale Reagan of Federalsburg, four aunts, Janine Wright and her husband Shannon of Preston, MD, Denise Walls of Cordova, Cathy Toomey of Federalsburg and Debbie Bradley and husband Alan of Seaford, and his uncle, Bruce Hancock and his wife Tammie of Federalsburg, MD. Ryan had a large loving family and was the eldest of this cousin crew…..Drew and Clay Carpenter, Blake, Trevor and Tanner Hancock, Jason and Jenna Bradley, Trey and Danielle Covey and Spencer and Shelby Wright. A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 6:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 with Memorial Service at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Toomey Family Education Fund to benefit his children, Ryleigh and Gavin Toomey, checks payable to Mary Suzette Reagan 3576 Seippes Road, Federalsburg, MD 21632.
