St. Michaels, A. George “Jamaica George” Palmer of St. Michaels, departed this life on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Envoy of Denton. He was 81. George was a native of Jamaica where he attended school. He worked for the town of St. Michaels, for 23 years. He retired in 1994. Following his retirement George lived life to the fullest. He leaves to mourn his wife; Margaret J. Palmer, four children; George, Jr. (Tina), Laton (Brenda), Ann, Opal (Bersick) and three Step-children Winsome, Karl, and Ellen, seven Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild. Also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at St. Johns Methodist Church, Wittman, MD. where a viewing will be held from 11:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Thomas Cemetery, St. Michaels. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels, MD.
