Alan William Collins, known fondly as “Semi” passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at UMSMC at Easton. He was 64. He was born in Salisbury on May 2, 1950, the son of Mary Kathleen “Kay” Collins of Brookview and the late Oliver H Read Obituary
Sending our condolences to Alan's family. We knew Alan from NDHS and community. The last time I saw Alan was at the Brookview United Methodist Homecoming. He joked about his nephew Calvin inheriting his singing ability from him. May God bless and surround all Alan's family with much love and support at this sad time.

Growing up around the Collins family Semi was always around somewhere. Either at Miss Kay's or in the field. I will always have fond memories of him and the breakfasts on opening day of deer season. Thoughts and prayers from my family to yours.
When you go through life, you cross paths with people that impress you with their values
and dedication. To me, Semi crossed my path at Dupont and made a everlasting impression on me. He was the "coolest" guy when the work day went crazy. I have the greatest respect for him. I talked to him last fall, while he was driving his combine, and all he talked about was his grandchild. He was truly a good man. I will miss my friend...

Alan not only was a classmate to us but a friend and neighbor. He always had a smile and a wonderful laugh. Our grandchildren will remember him as, "Mr. Alan that took us riding in the combine." They always knew where he lived and loved to point out his machinery that would be sitting in the yard. He will always be remembered as a friendly and kind person. He will be missed by many friends and family.
