Alice Marie Cohee's Obituary
Alice Marie Cohee, 88, of Hurlock parted ways with our world on Saturday, February 25th in Cambridge, MD. She was a kind and loving person and all those who knew her will never forget her. She was one of many children from parents, Roy and Bessie Wheatley born on November 8, 1928 in Reids Grove.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter F. Cohee, Sr., a grandson, Walter F. "Trae" Cohee, III, a sister, Elizabeth Hastings and her husband, Gilbert, a brother, Roy Edward Wheatley and his wife Norma, a brother-in-law, Freddie Bramble, all of which will be waiting for her at the Pearly gates.
Alice lost her grandson, Staff Sargeant Trae in the war in Afghanistan, her husband served in WWII and a son served in the U.S. Air Force. Alice's family shows pride in their country and they do everything they can to show that pride.
Alice is survived by two sons, Walter F. Cohee, Jr. and his wife, Jeanne of Mardela, Michael Cohee of Delmar, MD, a grandson, Kris Cohee and his wife Heather of Mardela, two great granddaughters, Christy Lathe and Marina Cohee both of Mardela, two sisters, Betty Coulbourne and her husband, Charles of Hurlock, and Faye Bramble of Reids Grove, special friends, Annette and Jim Henry of Brookview and their children who were her godchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 12 noon at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Barbara Nighoff officiating. A visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m until 12 p.m. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Alice was thankful for all those who visited her while she was in the hospital and those who cared for her when she was ill. That Saturday was a long day but nearly as along as the smiles that she brought to us, rest in peace Alice Cohee, and continue to spread joy to those around you in the afterlife.
