Alice Hazel Milligan's Obituary
Alice Hazel Corey Milligan, formerly of Federalsburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at the Talbot Hospice House in Easton. She was 92.
She was born Jan. 19, 1919 in Knox County, KY, the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Nancy Belle Jones Corey. Her husband, Roger Steele Milligan preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1974.
After graduating from high school she attended the former Bible Training School in Sevierville, TN, now known as Lee University. She worked as a seamstress retiring from Hurlock Sportswear in 1982. She was a member of the Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg serving as a Sunday School secretary and teacher.
She is survived by a daughter Cynthia M. Smith and her husband, Richard, of Easton, two grandchildren J. Corey Schmidt of Federalsburg and Rebecca L. Schmidt of Easton, a sister Della Frances Walden of Detroit, MI, several nieces and nephews, and a special niece Debbie Southern and her husband, Rev. Dan Southern. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Donald Roger Milligan who passed away on Sept. 23, 2008, three sisters and three brothers.
