Alphonso Macer, Sr.'s Obituary
Alphonso Macer, Sr., of Federalsburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton. He was 71.
He was born on August 31, 1944 in Rhodesdale, a son of Jacob Macer and the late Ida Rebecca Wongus Macer.
Alphonzo attended schools in Dorchester County. He was employed as a Fork Lift Operator with ACME Supermarket and later Maryland Plastics. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with many clubs on the eastern shore as well as playing baseball.
He is survived by his wife Drucilla "Pat" Macer of High Point, NC; his father Jacob Macer of Federalsburg; a special friend, Rosalee Wilson of Cordova; one son Alphonso Macer, Jr. of High Point, NC; four daughters, Bridgette Macer of Wilmington, DE, Alesia Macer of Cambridge, Tasha Cephas of Cambridge, and Christina Patterson, of High Point, NC; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters Dora Jackson of Federalsburg, Floretta Austin of Seaford, and Dorothy McKnight of Mardela; a uncle Daniel Wongus of Cambridge, a aunt, Dorothy Baynard and her husband Albert of Denton, his mother-in-law Elizabeth A. Patterson, of Southern Pines, NC; two brother-in-laws, Gary Patterson and his wife Anita of Durham, NC and James Patterson and his wife Wanda of Raleigh, NC; three sister in-laws, Lottie Mae Pope and her husband Nicky of Charlotte, NC, Cathie Wicker and her husband Donnie of High Point, NC, and Geralyn Bullard of Southern Pines, NC, special children he raised as his own, Terry Turner, Michael Wilson and his wife Darcell, Renee Wilson, Yvette Greene, Darrell Wilson, Erika Albury and her husband Chris, and Quintal Wilson and his wife Nicole; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Clarence Rochester officiating. Interment will follow at Chester Cemetery in Reid’s Grove. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
