My father made life interesting and exciting as well as God-centered, living life to the fullest. From getting up before sunrise at times to travel for work, Sunday School and Church riding in the Coupe, Youth Group, Pro-Life Educational Materials, riding in the Combine Harvester, playing in truckloads of soybeans, sitting on a shovel to slide down snow piles, riding the yellow Moped Scooter, Go-karts, testing out amusement rides he made and nearly patented, his vinyl covered metal Sit'N Spin, in-ground pool and slide he himself made, fishing, growing flowers, gardening,electrical/plumbing/appliance/automotive repairs, Bill’s Salvage finds, his healthy home-cooked meals, paying for Christian University for me, his guidance to keep expenses low while saving and/or investing, good work ethic of showing up early and leaving last when others needed help, custom made items which took all hours of the night sometimes to complete, bartering rather than accepting only cash as payment, pride in his work, generosity, honesty, integrity, faith in God, giving thanks before meals, prayer before bed, many times dropping by the house to talk, long phone conversations, not missing my children's many activities, long hugs, always unconditional love, support, and wisdom and smiles and more that will be cherished, remembered, and missed until The Great Reunion in Heaven.

Alton will be missed. John & I Send our condolences to the family. John and I had planned on being there for the services. I woke up sick yesterday so I cannot make it there. Sending prayers for all.
First word that i think of when i think of Alton is kindness. He was always there to lend a helping hand and would go more then out of his way to do so. Also will never forget his smile and the love you could see when he and Dawn were together.
