Angela Starr Widdowson's Obituary
Angela Starr Colona Widdowson of Seaford, DE, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was 55.
Starr was born July 25, 1958 in Nassawadox, VA, the daughter of Norris Gray Colona and Betty Jo Matthews Colona of Federalsburg. Her husband, G. Leonard Widdowson preceded her in death on March 15, 2004.
She was a graduate of Colonel Richardson High School Class of 1976. She received a diploma in medical transcription from Delaware Tech. She had worked for E.I. Dupont in Seaford for 22 years before being employed at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of the Seaford Moose Lodge.
Besides her parents Norris and Betty Jo Colona, she is survived by a son, Christopher R. Smullin and his wife Debra, of Seaford, a granddaughter Adrianah Rae Smullin of Seaford, a brother Rev. Keith Colona and his wife, Deena, a nephew Nicholas Gray Colona, her fiancée Robert Witzke of Bridgeville, DE, former husband Willie “Jr.” Smullin and his wife Lea Ann Smullin of Bloxom, VA, and her beloved dog “Gabby” and kitten “Sissy”.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg with Bishop Ray Parsons officiating, assisted by her brother Rev. Keith Colona. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
