Anna Mae Stokes' Obituary
Anna Mae Stokes, 91, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016.
Born in Caroline County, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Al Green Wroten and Sadie Wroten.
She attended school in Dorchester County. She was a seamstress and floor manager in several local garment factories, to include Laurel, DE, Secretary, Hurlock, and Federalsburg, MD. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and decorating. She was part owner and operator of Victorian at Heart in downtown Salisbury, MD.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Stokes, they would have been married 75 years on Decemeber 24, 2016, three Daughters, Connie Taylor, Brenda Murray, and Phylis Roberts and husband Robin Roberts, thirteen grandchildren, Ernest McBroom, Jr. Lisa Flanigan, Benjamin Walls,III, Sydney McBroom, Janet Ivens, Jenny Bachman, Amy Peters, Colton Murray, John Lord, Jr., Dennis Lord, Shawn Roberts, Michael Roberts, and Megan Roberts, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Garland Wroten, Phillip Wroten, Ralph Wroten, Emerson Wroten, and Al Wroten, Jr., three sisters, Irene Smith, Pauline Lare, and Norma Lee Wroten, one grandson, James Albert Massey, Jr., and one great granddaughter, Heather Cowell.
Arrangememts are in the care of the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD. Interment will be held in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD. A Memorial Service will be private and held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
