Anna Mae Thomas' Obituary
Anna Mae Thomas, formally of Federalsburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 90 years old.
She was born on July 9, 1927 in Hurlock, MD, the daughter of the late Roland W. Cephas, Sr. and Mary Frances Victoria Hubbard Cephas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William R. Thomas.
Anna graduated from St. Clair High School in Cambridge with the class of 1944. She retired from the Quarter Master Department of Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia.
Anna was a member of Hurlock United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, doing jigsaw & crossword puzzles, playing bingo and Pokeno.
Her family was her true passion and she truly enjoyed getting together as a family and traveling with her family, and she adored her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Claudelisa Ronnette Thomas (MD), Walter Brown (FL), Damien Brown (MD), five great-grandchildren, Alexis Brown, Dominik Brown, Jayden Brown, Gia Blow and William Blow, and, four siblings, Lottie Camper and Leroy Cephas both of Federalsburg, Mildred Waters and Solomon Cephas both of Hurlock, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rosalind Edmonds, one grandson Barry Thomas, and seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hurlock United Methodist Church with Pastor Darlene Dixon officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will take place on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. www.framptom.com
