Annemarie Lenske's Obituary
Annemarie Lenske passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at University Maryland Medical System at Easton. She was 91.
She was born on January 13, 1926 in Memel, Germany to the late Emil and Berta B. Matzeit.
On October 15, 1949 she married Helmut Walter Lenske. They later made their home in St. Michaels, in 1951.
After almost 50 years as a self-employed hair dresser, she retired and enjoyed exercising, going to the community center and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand-children.
Annemarie is survived by her son Frank Lenske and his wife, Tammy of St. Michaels , her daughter Renate Rice and her husband Montia Jr., of St. Michaels, her grandchildren Montia Rice III and his wife Melissa (Mo),and their child Montia Rice, IV, of Oklahoma, Savannah Rice of St. Michaels and her fiancé Chris Price of Pittsburgh, PA, Richard Lenske and his fiancé Sam Higgins, of Easton, Katherine Groce and her husband Clark, and their children, Gavin, Madi, and Bryson of Skipton , and Ben Garlock of Easton , as well as her niece Franziska Brennan and her husband Mike and their family and nephew Klaus Liebig and his wife Anne and their family and lots of great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Helmut Lenske and a brother Willie Matzeit and a sister Elsbeth Liebig and brother-in-law Karl-Heinz Liebig.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 27th, 2017 at 11:00am at St Luke’s Methodist church with Pastor Tonya McClain officiating.
