Arvel T. Lahman's Obituary
Arvel T. Lahman, of Federalsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Caroline Hospice House in Denton. He was 94.
He was born on November 7, 1922 and was a son of the late Elwood P. Lahman and Magnolia Framptom Lahman.
In January of 1943, Arvel entered the United States Army, where he served for over two years. During his service, he traveled to France, as well as a number of other places. He received many awards and recognition for his loyalty and integrity to his country while in the military. Arvel was an outdoorsman and often could be found tending to his garden and seen sitting in his yard. His most beloved possession was his be found dog, Cookie. Most of all he was a devoted and loving Father, Brother and Grandfather, who will be missed by many.
Mr. Lahman is survived by one daughter Barbara Seidel and her husband Lance of West Chester, PA; two sons Wilmer Fell Lahman and his wife Mimi of Laurel, DE and Robert Lahman, Sr. and his companion Debbie Fourquet of Federalsburg; four grandchildren Melissa, Robert, Jr., Michelle, and Crissy, several great grandchildren; one brother Donald Lahman and his wife Connie of Astor, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Bloomery Cemetery. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Arvel's honor to the Caroline Hospice Foundation, 613 S. 5th Ave, Denton, MD 21629.
