Audrey B. Clendaniel's Obituary
Audrey B. Clendaniel of Harmony, MD passed away on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014 at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD. She was 88.
She was born Nov. 18, 1925 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late
Henry and Bertha Dorr Worch. Her husband, Douglas L. Clendaniel, preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1989.
In earlier years she had volunteered at the Senior Center in Denton and at the Caroline Nursing Home. She was a member of the AuxiliaryAmerican Legion Post in Denton and a member of the Auxiliary of the V.F. W. Post 5246 in Federalsburg. She was very creative and enjoyed sewing, crewel work and crocheting. She loved her family, especially the grandchildren, and was well known for making Christmas so special with her Christmas Chili and whoopi pies. She enjoyed poetry and loved to play Bingo.
She is survived by a son Bruce W. Clendaniel (Jane), a daughter Sharon R. Clendaniel (George Towers), all of Harmony, 6 grandchildren Richard Clendaniel (Becky), Kevin Clendaniel (Lauren), Sean Burgess (Jennifer), April Whaley (Ralph), Ashley Elder (Seth), and Brittany Jarboe (Josh); 15 great- grandchildren, a brother Richard Worch , several nieces and nephews, and two close friends Jane Horner and Ruth Hayworth. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Arthur (Otts) Worch, and Rose Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. David Heistand officiating. Interment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
