Audrey Noble (Sewell) Knopp's Obituary
Audrey Noble Sewell Knopp Audrey died peacefully at Genesis Healthcare, the Pines, Thursday, December 15, 2016 with her family at her bedside. She was 87.
Audrey was born in her family home in Wye Mills, Md; December 8, 1929 to Virginia Meredith Sewell and Samuel Melvin Sewell.
After graduation from Centreville High School in 1946, Audrey became a telephone operator for C&P Telephone Co. Audrey later worked as a waitress at the Oak Hill Diner in Easton until her retirement. On March 3, 1951, Audrey married the love of her life, Benjamin F. Knopp. Ben and Audrey were blessed with six children.
Audrey was a lifetime member of the VFW 5118 and American Legion Post 70. She also spent many years working concession stands for Tidewater Softball and American Legion Baseball. Audrey was the happiest when she was with family, singing, dancing and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin F. Knopp, daughters Karen Marie and Kimberly Ann Knopp, and a son Keith Anthony Knopp. Also, her two brothers, Wilbur and James Sewell.
Audrey is survived by her sons Kenneth G. Knopp (Jackie), Kevin D. Knopp (Ronnie) and Kraig B. Knopp (Connie). She also is survived by her grandchildren Kenneth Knopp (Charish), David Knopp (Kellie), Joshua Knopp (Makaye), Dr. Kristie Casale (Anthony), Kelly Knopp (James), and two step-grandchildren Trevor Robbins and Jordan Lloyd. Audrey has 14 great-grandchildren . Funeral services will be held 12: 00 noon, on Friday, December 23 at the Presbyterian Church of Easton, 617 N. Washington St., Easton, MD. A viewing will be held from 11:00am to 1200pm.
Burial will follow at the Springhill Cemetery, Easton.
The family has suggested that memorial gifts be given to the Memory Unit, Genesis Health Care The Pines, 610 Dutchmans Lane, Easton, MD 21601.
