Audrey Nettie Stoker Walden's Obituary
Audrey Nettie Stoker Walden 87, of Hurlock died at University Hospital in Baltimore, MD on Saturday, July 31, 2010.
She was born on October 21, 1922 at Secretary in Dorchester County the daughter of the late Medford and Margaret Saunders Stoker. Her husband, Jack Joseph Walden preceded her in death in 2005.
She worked at the Hurlock Sewing Factory, at the former Bell Haven Nursing Home in Hurlock and she also did private duty sitting with the elderly.
She is survived by two children, Gene A. Walden, Sr. of Seaford, and June F. Messinger of Delmar, MD, three grandchildren, Gene A. Walden, Jr. of Seaford, Garth R. Messinger, Jr. and Michael J. Messinger both of Delmar, MD, 2 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Walden of Newark, DE, Gavin R. Messinger, of Delmar, MD, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Walden, Jr., three sisters, Mattie Wells, Angeline Hoffman, Marie Lee, and two brother, Ward Stoker and James Stoker.
Funeral services for her will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg. Interment will follow in Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11:00 on Wednesday. The family has requested that donations be made in her memory to Hurlock Senior Center 6210 Shiloh Church Road Hurlock, MD 21643.
