Barbara Banister's Obituary
Barbara L. Banister passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Liberty, SC on March 9, 2023, and went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 80.
Barbara was born in Milford, DE on September 22, 1942 and was a dedicated wife and mother who will be deeply missed by her family.
One of her fondest memories was the time spent on her Fathers farm near Dover, DE. She had a great love for all animals and especially a passion for horses. She also enjoyed country music, western movies, fishing, racing, camping and canning fruits and vegetables, which she regularly shared with her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carlton A. Carter and Madolyn E. Dill and precious grandson John Carlton Banister.
She is survived by her husband and the love of her life Harold F. Banister, along with her 6 children, Ward (Skee-bo) Wickham (wife Michele), Carlynn Wickham, Danny Banister (wife Elise), Brenda Nelson (husband Joey), Ray Banister, and Susan Tankersley (husband Shay).
16 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
A service to honor her memory will be held on March 23, 2023 at 12:00 noon for friends and family at the Chapel at Saint Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood, DE.
