Barbara R Sterling's Obituary
Barbara K. Sterling of Federalsburg passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health of Easton. She was 80 years old.
She was born Sept. 24, 1937 in Federalsburg, the daughter of the late Frances Melvin Russell and Roberta O’Bier Russell. He husband, Donald Lee Sterling, preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1999.
She was a graduate of North Dorchester High School Class of 1956. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she served as a pianist and choir member. In earlier years she was employed at General Foods in Dover, DE. She retired after 28 years of service at E.I. DuPont in Seaford.
Mrs. Sterling is survived by a daughter, Deborah L. Sterling-Wilckens of Reliance, two sons Gregory Alan Sterling, Sr. (Joy Murray) of Preston, and Steven Wayne Sterling, Sr. (Deborah Dupree) of Reliance; 4 grandchildren Dawn Renee Sterling-Stafford (Derek) of Reliance, Gregory Alan Sterling, Jr. (Aimee), Steven Wayne Sterling, Jr. and Aaron Smith; 7 great-grand-children Alex Razo, Kiera Ayon, Samantha & Summer Stafford, Lily Grace, Malachi and Leviticus; a brother Everett Russell (Eleanor) of Bridgeville and 3 nieces, Sherri Lynn Smith, Dana Renee Smith and Kimberly Russell-Brown. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Sterling.
Funeral services will be held on Wed. Nov. 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Diane Melson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery near Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wed. from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
