Barbara Lorraine “BG George-Brown of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at Genesis HealthCare-The Pines in Easton, MD. She was 68 years old.
She was born July 6, 1941 in Federalsburg, the daughter of the late Algie Pinckens and Alice Nichols Stanley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Brown.
She had worked for the former Caroline Poultry in Federalsburg. She received her Associate Degree in Early Childhood from Chesapeake College and had worked for the Caroline County Department of Social Services in Transportation, and for the ABC Daycare in Federalsburg. She was a member of Greater New Hope Church & Ministries in Ridgely, MD where she faithfully served as usher for many years. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, eating crabs and shopping.
She is survived by 8 children, Carlton M. George (Polly) of Federalsburg, Cynthia B. Harris (Keith) of Bridgeville, DE, Tyrone S. George of Annapolis, MD, Dexter S. George (Lisa) of Seaford, DE, Lamont V. George of Cambridge, MD, Teresa L. Comegys (Keith) of Secretary, MD, Terry D. George (Marlena) of Dover, DE and Alajah Bolden of Federalsburg, 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 god-daughters Jasmine Price and Amber Coleman and many nieces and nephews.
