Barbara Louise Kenton's Obituary
Barbara Louise Kenton, age 72, of Laurel Delaware, died at her home, Wednesday, September 5, 2007 following a long illness.
Born on March 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clarence James Passwaters and Tilda Ada Russell Passwaters.
Mrs. Kenton worked at Sisk Fulfillment of Federalsburg, MD for ten years.
She liked fishing and crocheting. Mrs. Kenton was a proud grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Franklin N. Kenton of Laurel, DE, a son Franklin Anthony Kenton and daughter-in-law Rebecca of Laurel, DE, two daughters Diana Columna and son-in-law Charles of Laurel, DE, Deborah Ruf and son-in-law Michael of Hurlock, MD, four grandchildren Melissa Jewell of Seaford, DE, Heather Sapp of Milford, DE, Derrick Payne of Homestead, FL and Darrin Payne of Federalsburg, MD, three great-grandchildren Trey Jewell, Ricky Armstrong III, and Hali Sapp.
Also surviving her are three brothers Raymond Edward Passwaters of Houston, DE, Lee Roy Passwaters of Seaford, DE, Clarence James Jr. of Denton, MD, and a sister Sally Adams of Seaford, DE.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents were two sisters Beverly Roberts, Norma Lee Hubble, a brother Kenneth Passwaters and infant twin brothers Clarence Gene and Richard James Passwaters
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 8, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Seaford Wesleyan Church The Ark, 26630 Sussex Highway, Seaford. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Dave Kieser. Burial will follow in Junior Order Cemetery, Preston, MD.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Payne, Darrin Payne, Derek Sapp, Tony Jewell, Billy Kenton and Rick Passwaters.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Trey Jewell and Ricky Armstrong III.
Expressions of sympathy may be made by either sending flowers or making memorial offerings in Mrs. Kenton’s memory to Caroline County Retarded Children or Delaware Hospice.
