Barry E. Hutchison's Obituary
Barry Emory Hutchison, 53, of Cordova, MD passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Easton on February 24, 1963 and was the son of Darlene Williams Hutchison and the late Palmer B. Hutchison.
He was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren.
Barry graduated from Easton High School in 1981. On April 14, 1984 he married the former Debra (Debbie) Callahan.
Growing up on the family farm he became a man of many talents and trades. He expanded his skills by working as a mechanic and for other farmers. Later, he owned and operated a farming, logging and trucking operation with his brother.
He worked for various fertilize companies and worked on Harvest crews picking sweet corn. In more recent years he owned Hutchison Hauling where he hauled livestock and timber.
Barry never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He always enjoyed having his friends and family ride along with him on his daily trips to Pennsylvania. His customers spanned from MD to DE and PA.
Another of his many talents, one he was well known for, was BBQ’d chicken. Barry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie, who he loved very much, their three sons and three beloved daughter in laws who they are extremely proud of: Darcy Emory & Samantha (Archer), Darin Emory & Rebecca (Doty), and Dean Emory & Rebecca (Bowen) and the joys of their life Abbigail, Brantley, Heidi, Coleson, and two more due in July that he was very much looking forward to.
He is also survived by his mother, Darlene, brothers Paul (Amy), Alan (Ramona) and sister Lisa (Bruce), his in-laws John Sr. & Jean Callahan and brother in law, David (Jodi), as well as many nephews and nieces who he loved to tease, along with Aunts, Uncles, cousins and his many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and brother in law John Callahan Jr.
He was a member of the Cordova Volunteer Fire Dept. where services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017. The family will receive friends from 10-12, the service following with Pastor Bob Davis officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Church of the Brethren in Cordova, MD.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Donnie Davis, John Williams, Paul Hutchison, Alan Hutchison, Mark Sump, Phil Dulin, Martin Roe and Dale Bishop, with Honorary Pallbearers David Callahan, Kenny Andrew, Gordon Behrens, Richard Sump, Billy Brinsfield, Paul Blades, John Elben and John Callahan Sr.
