Beatrice Shufelt Russell's Obituary
Beatrice Shufelt Russell of Federalsburg passed away at her daughter’s home in Seaford on Thursday, July 23, 2015. She was 93.
She was born on September 10, 1921 near Federalsburg daughter of the late George F. Shufelt and Ruth Beatrice Turner Shufelt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Welton Russell on February 21, 2003.
Bea worked for the former Pearl Excelsior Work and also as an inspector for E.I. Dupont. She was a member of the First Church of God in Federalsburg and attended Cokesbury United Methodist Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, a secretary of the United Methodist Women, and a member of the Dorcas Missionary Circle at Cokesbury.
She is survived by her son, Dennis W. Russell and a daughter, Janice R. Conaway both of Seaford, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother, Carlton Shufelt of Salisbury. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Shufelt and R. Lennon Shufelt.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Linda Mariner officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
