Benjamin F. Ostrowski, Sr.
Bozman, Benjamin Francis Ostrowski, Sr. died at his home in Bozman, with his loving family at his side on Sunday, March 10, 2013. He was 78. Born on December 25, 1934 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Mamie Zielinski Ostrowski Malkowski, he was step –son of Bernard Malkowski. Ben was raised in Baltimore city where he attended public school. He as a young man worked for the American Can Co. in Baltimore until 1955 when he moved his family to Bozman, where he began a career as a waterman an occupation he truly loved, and in later years owning his own business as a house painter. A true outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Ravens and Orioles, but mostly since his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, his constant companion “Cookie” and to visit with his friends at “Big Al’s”. In addition to his beloved wife & best friend of 62 years Betty A. Ostrowski, he is survived by two sons; Benjamin F. Ostrowski, Jr. and his wife Kathie of Federalsburg, Joseph M. Ostrowski and his wife Shari of Bozman, a daughter; Linda I. Booze and her husband Luke of Easton, two sisters; Veronica Gonce and her husband Dave, and Joann Warrington and her husband Marty all of Dover, DE. Nine grandchildren; Amy. Kelly, Robbie, Angie, Danny, Josh, Brianna, Joseph, Sarah, and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Madeline Ostrowski and Jean Wales, and a Great-grandson Logan Morse. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Bozman United Methodist Church, Bozman. Friends may call at the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels on Friday Evening from 6 to 8PM. Burial will be in the Bozman Cemetery.
