Benjamin Ostrowski's Obituary
Vero Beach, FL - Benjamin Francis Ostrowski, Jr departed this life suddenly on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Vero Beach FL - doing what he loves - working on his new truck. He was 70.
Ben was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 22, 1952. His family then move to Bozman Maryland in 1955. Ben grew up in Bozman, MD and attended Talbot County Public School in St. Michaels and he served in the Maryland National Guard in the 1970s. He worked most of his life as a Master Diesel Engine Mechanic highly qualified in Detroit, Cummings, and Caterpillar, and very sought after by many truck drivers and waterman. During his career he worked for various companies including; Taylor G.M.C. of Easton, Wheatley Trucking of Cambridge, (until its closing) and lastly United Shellfish of Grasonville until his retirement. In 2018 he moved to Vero Beach, FL.
During his life, Ben enjoyed fishing, being on the water, working on cars, watching country westerns, spending time with his dogs- especially his "partner in crime" Gizmo, and loved his grandchildren immensely.
He is survived by 2 daughters Amy Ostrowski Towers (Brett) of Federalsburg and Kelly Roberts (Michael) of Cambridge, 1 son Robert Ostrowski of Taiwan.
Eight grandchildren; Jasmine Sisco, Anastasia Ostrowski, Jade Ostrowski Alexis Vail, Aariana Hutt, Janiyah Custis, Ashton Vail and Kayden Custis; a brother Joseph Ostrowski Sr. (Brenda Faulkner) of Bozman. Ben is also survived by his wife of nearly 40 years the former Kathie Willen, of Vero Beach, FL. and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Betty Ostrowski -and his sister Linda Booze.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 17th at the Framptom Funeral home 216 N. Main St, Federalsburg, MD.
