Bernard Brian Boos' Obituary
Bernard (Bernie) Brian Boos, 88, of Claiborne, MD, formerly of Pennsville, NJ, passed away on July 8, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born in Avoca, PA to the late Ann R. (Frew) and Bernard W. Boos. He graduated from St. James High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 and spent his career at DuPont Chambers Works in the PVI shop, where he retired in the 1980's.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Cecelia Mae Boos, and their children Michael Boos, Brian Boos and his partner Rena Titus, and Theresa (Terry) Boos-Fellinger; his son-in-law, John Fellinger; his grandchildren Bradley Boos, Dustin Fellinger, and Elizabeth Fellinger; his brother Jerome P. Boos; his brother- and sister-in-law John and Fran Kerper; his brother-in-law, Charles W. Kerper, and his dog Bozy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Richard Boos
Bernie enjoyed life on the Eastern Shore, wintering in Myrtle Beach, and world travel. He was an avid catboat sailor and navigator who taught himself how to use a sextant. He also cherished quiet evenings fishing on the Miles River with family and friends. Bernie was a member of the St. Michael's Mission Church, America's Boating Club/ US Power Squadrons, and a valued member of the Claiborne community, where he contributed to the operation and maintenance of the Claiborne water system. Above all, Bernie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Mission Church,109 Lincoln Avenue St. Michaels, Maryland 21663 Visitation will take place at 10:00, one hour prior to the service. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Bernie's life.
