Bernard Wesley Steininger, Jr.'s Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Wesley Steininger Jr., who left us peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the tender age of 14. Born on May 5, 2012, in Dover, Delaware, Bernard was a beacon of joy and innocence in the lives of those who knew him.
Bernie, a loving son to his parents, Hailey and Jon Bondie, was cherished by his family and friends. He is also survived by his siblings Milo and Noah Bondie, grandparents Sandy Gray, Amy and Norm Smallwood, and Robert Bondie, III; a devoted aunt: Amanda Moore and a host of other friends and relatives. Bernie's spirit and laughter touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
An avid fan of trains and a dedicated follower of "Thomas the Tank Engine," he found delight in the simple pleasures of life. Whether watching Disney movies or enjoying adventures with his favorite stuffed animal, "Sully" from Monsters, Inc., Bernard brought joy to those around him with his infectious enthusiasm. He also enjoyed his time at Cape Henlopen School, where he was known for his cheerful demeanor and kind heart.
A celebration of Bernie's life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 2:00 at Family Ministries 109 Market Street Bridgeville DE 19933.
