Bernard Thomas Mallory Teagle's Obituary
Bernard said farewell to the world and hello to Heaven on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 5:10 p.m. at the home of his son in North Baltimore, MD surrounded by family. Bernard (Bunny) had just celebrated his 74th birthday.
Bernard (Bunny) was born on May 10, 1940 to the late Corrine Teagle Davis and the late Booker Washington Davis, in Modestown, Virginia.
Bernard was educated in Accomack County Public School System. He graduated from Mary Nottingham Smith High School class of 1959.
Bernard was employed by several local companies including General Foods (now Kraft Foods) and Maryland Plastics before going into retirement.
Bernard was married on August 13, 1963 to Ida Mae Brown, of which union five children created a new family.
Bernard was preceded in death by one of his daughters, Zenobia Brown.
To always remember him with love is one son and three daughters, Bernard M. Teagle, Jr. (Denotta) of Abington, MD, Doris Cassidy (Glenn) of Woodbridge, VA, Bernadine Warrington (David) of Mardela, MD, Antronette Smith (Harry Jr.) of Essex, MD, Nine grandchildren, Kevin Whittington, Jr., Royce Brown, Robert Brown, Jr., Brionna Warrington, Danielle Graham, Anisha Elliott, Harry Smith, III, Devon Teagle, Maya Teagle, fourteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Norman M. Davis Sr. (Lois) of Largo, MD, one sister, Laura Mae Davis-Stern (Leonard) of Oxon Hill, MD, one uncle Fred Teagle of Hurlock, MD, two aunts, Jessie Mae Davis and Elizabeth Teagle both of Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary U.M. Church in Preston with Rev. Claudia Waters officiating.
