Bertha Rose Lee Criss' Obituary
Bertha "Rose Lee" Larrimore Criss passed away unexpectedly at her home in Hurlock, MD following a brief illness on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. She was 79 years old.
Born in Easton, MD on June 15, 1946, Rose Lee was the daughter of Reynolds Larrimore, Sr. and N. Marcella Crews Larrimore. She lived for many years in the Tilghman area and later moved to North Carolina with her husband Donald Criss. Together they owned and operated D & R Cleaning Services in North Carolina until retirement. Don passed away in 2014. Rose Lee also was well known as a waitress both locally and in North Carolina.
Rose Lee enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved to cook, crochet, and quilt. She had several dogs for whom she cared deeply. In her free time Rose Lee liked to play cards, go to bingo, and find a good yard sale. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and studying the bible was very important to her. She often did this with her brother George and his wife Ginger who were a great support to her over the years.
Left to mourn Rose Lee are her children Charles "Chucky" Roe, Jr. (Suzanne) of Bozman, Victoria "Vicky" White-Elliott (Travis) of Hurlock, Michael Berman of Ridgely, Bonnita Hoffman of Hurlock, Rebecca Anne Shasteen (Rich) of Farmville, NC and Susie Larrimore (Mike) of Secretary; her several grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially her "Baby Cakes" Wyatt Hoffman; her siblings George Larrimore (Ginger) of Cordova, and Mae Belle Walters (Butch) of Deal Island; her aunt Erma Tyler; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends especially Judy Ryan, Marie Foy, Shirley Graham, Lawrence and Sheila Tyler and family, Danny and Lynn Tyler and family, and Judi Foracre (Al) and family. Peggy and Christopher Dooley, Stacey and Mark Pinkett and family.
Rose Lee was preceded in death by her parents Reynolds and Marcella; her husband Don; and her brothers William R. Larrimore, and Reynolds Larrimore, Jr.

A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 starting at Noon at Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made directly to Framptom Funeral Home (216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632) to help defray unexpected funeral costs for the family.
