Bertha Stegall's Obituary
Bertha Stegall, 90 passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026 in Lincoln, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Floyd County, Ky, to the late John and Maggie (Francis) Garrett on December 28, 1935.
As a devoted homemaker, Bertha took immense pride in raising her family. Her love and dedication to her family were unwavering, and her home was always filled with laughter and love. She loved people and never met a stranger.
In her leisure time, she found joy in gardening, crabbing, bingo, horse racing, and Nascar on Sundays. Her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will forever be remembered by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is survived by four children: Pamela Smith (Mike) of Lincoln, Helen "Vita" Elliott of Bridgeville, Danny Stegall of Millville, NJ, Tammy Morelli of Egg Harbor Twp, NJ; seven grandchildren: Duane Stanley, Daniel "DJ" Stegall, Yvonne (Gary), Ashley Shaw, Stephanie Stegall, John Stegall, Megan Clark and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, two sisters, Virgie Meisenhelder and Rita Skaggs.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her companion of 25 yrs, Robert Ralyea, a daughter, Judy Thistlewood and a son John "Mikey" Stegall and two grandchildren, Donald Thistlewood and Lane Rowe. Two brothers Tom Garrett and William Garrett, and one sister Helen Hall.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood. Interment will follow at Bridgeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00
