Betty Johnson's Obituary
Betty Jane Johnson, formerly of Preston, MD passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Ruxton Health of Denton. She was 90 years old.
She was born Dec. 5, 1916 in Dear River, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Waitman George Dolby and Florence Agnes Murtey Dolby.
She had worked as a care provider for the elderly and had been employed by the State of Maryland for 13 years in the transportation of patients. She was a former member of Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg. She was very capable in restoration of homes and was gifted in craft work. She was a “Jack of all trades” and master of all she put her hands to.
She is survived by three children, Donna F. Boyden of Hurlock, Sharon Lee Johnson of Williamstown, NJ, and Noel J. Johnson of Preston, four grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, a sister, Carol Robinson of Federalsburg, several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Frank W. Johnson, and a sister, Isabelle Dorman Wright preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville, MD. Friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
