Betty Jane Jump's Obituary
Betty Jane Jump of St. Michaels passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Talbot Hospice House in Easton . She was 87.
She was born on February 24, 1930 in Easton to the late Percy and Ola Chambers. She married James Walter Jump, Sr. of St. Michaels on February 27, 1948. They were married for 36 years until his passing in 1984.
Through her years she worked as a caregiver to the elderly and enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved to go dancing with her husband, listening to music, cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Jesse James Jump, his wife, Lynn, and one brother, William Chambers.
She is survived by her son, David Jump and his wife Mae, of St. Michaels, two daughters, Tammy Tarr and her husband, Chuck of Bethlehem, Tina Haddaway and her husband, Brent of Easton, seven grandchildren, Marsha, JB (Jamie), Danny, Kelly (Matt), Jason, Doug (Dawn), Scott (Linda), and six great-grandchildren, Davie, Madison, Jimmy, Mercy, Doug, Jessica, a former daughter-in-law, Sheila Jones, a special friend, John Payne and many dear cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in St. Michaels with Rev. Jody Gunn officiating. A visitation will be held at Framptom Funeral Home in St. Michaels on Monday from 11:30-12:30. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Michaels Volunteer Fire Department, 1001 N.
