Betty Lord Shufelt's Obituary
Betty Lord Shufelt of Federalsburg, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. She was 82.
She was born in Eldorado, MD on June 14, 1934 the daughter of the late James Lord and Cecelia E. Lord. She married the late Roland Webster Shufelt, who preceded her in death in 1985.
She graduated from Hurlock High School. She worked for Service Trucking, Caroline Poultry, A.W. Sisk and Son, Mills Realty and then retired from Tilghman Oil in 2001.
She was a life member of the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company of over 60 years and a member of the Federalsburg Senior Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and serving her community.
Betty is survived by a son Jamie Shufelt of Federalsburg, a daughter Lisa Payne and her husband Sterling of Federalsburg, Patti Holland, who was like a daughter to her, and a special friend, Jewell Blanchfield. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Percy Lord, James Lord, and Emory Lord.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Bishop Ray Parsons officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00- 3:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 N.
