Betty Charlotte Sanders' Obituary
Betty Charlotte Sanders, formerly of Federalsburg, passed away on Thursday,
Sept. 16, 2010 at the home of Helen “Bookie” Taylor, her niece, in Hurlock, MD. She was 91.
She was born Oct. 5, 1918 in Bridgeton, NJ, the daughter of the late George Edward Hollerman, Sr. and Helen Clark Hollerman. Her husband, Harold Preston “Buck” Sanders preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1983.
She was a seamstress, working with her husband in several shirt factories located
in Secretary, MD, Chase City, VA, and Laurel, DE. She delighted many children with her talent of making Barbie Doll clothes. Betty was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she earned 100% Sunday School Attendance.from 1991 to 1992. She was a member of Federalsburg Senior Center.
She is survived by a brother and his wife, George Edward Hollerman, Jr. and Sylvia of East New Market, MD, numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great- nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, great-great-great- nieces and nephews, and two dear friends, Elva Mooney of Reliance and Katie Jones of Chase City, VA. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five siblings, Helen Harding, Doris Page, Robert Carlton Hollerman, Louis Clark Hollerman, and Robert Joseph Hollerman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Framptom
Funeral Home, P.A. with Rev. Karen Bongard and Rev. Dan Walker officiating.
Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery in Choptank. Friends may call at the
funeral home on Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
