She was born on February 14, 1961, in Wilmington, Delaware, Beverly was the cherished daughter of the late Ernest J. Collins and Angelene Wheatley Collins. From an early age, she was known for her radiant spirit and boundless compassion, qualities that would define her throughout her life.
Beverly pursued her education at Delaware Technical Community College, where she earned an associate's degree in accounting. While she had many talents, it was her dedication to her role as a postal worker for the United States Postal Service that brought her joy and pride. In addition to her regular duties, she became the Local union representative, where she forged countless friendships and became a familiar face in her community. Everyone who knew her recognized how strong she was, fiercely fighting for her people and what she believed in.
A cherished member of Wayside Christian Church in Denton, Beverly found solace in her faith and enjoyed participating in church activities. In her free time, she could be found rescuing an orphaned animal or finishing one of her many projects with her partner. Above all, Beverly's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She looked forward cooking Sunday dinners for her family. If you ask those who knew her well, they'd say her fudge was the best on earth! Her favorite thing truly was her family. If she wasn't baking a cake with one of the grandchildren, it was making pancakes, cheesy eggs and her iced tea with them. She also was a regular at the McDonald's play place and loved having stuffed animal tea parties.
