Beverly Margaret Griffith's Obituary
Beverly Margaret Griffith of Granite, Maryland, passed away peacefully Saturday November 16, 2024 at the Talbot Hospice House in Easton, Maryland. She was 84 years old.
Born July 14, 1940 in Baltimore, she was one of twelve children born to the late Howard and Kathleen Smedley Kriete. She married the love of her life, Robert Griffith on April 1, 1959. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Beverly lived most of her life in Granite and was a devoted member of the Granite Presbyterian Church. Being the accomplished local historian that she was, Beverly was a founding member of the Granite Historical Society. She was passionate about genealogy and researching the family ancestry and history. For 35 years until her retirement, she was a school bus driver for Baltimore County Public Schools.
In her down time, Beverly could be found gardening. She took pleasure in planting native trees and grasses and took pleasure in birdwatching. Beverly was also a lover of animals. She was a caregiver to many animals and wildlife that were in need in her community. Beverly had many beloved pets over the years, but her constant companion in her final years was her precious golden retriever "Scout" and he will miss her dearly.
Beverly is survived by her son, Barry Griffith and his wife Kelly Griffith, and daughter, Robin Griffith Dull and her husband Noal T. Dull; her grandchildren: Jacob Griffith, Brady Griffith, Wyatt Griffith and Nick Dull; her great-grandchildren: Lane Griffith, Reese Griffith, and McCoy Griffith; and her brother Charles Kriete.
In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, she is preceded in death by ten siblings.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Talbot Hospice, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, Maryland 21601.
