Brandon Magee Milbourne's Obituary
Brandon Magee Milbourne passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE. He was born on March 10, 1983 to Cephas A. Milbourne Sr. and the late Jacqueline B. Magee at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. He attended Poly Tech High School and graduated from Groves High School in 2005. He worked at the Easton MVA for 6 years as a proctor. Although Brandon battled Sickle Cell Anemia and was in and out of the hospital most of his childhood, he loved writing poetry, karate and bowling. He also loved wearing hats. He bowled on a championship youth league in Dover and continued bowling with the Shiloh Baptist Church and “The Mixed-Nuts” leagues. He also had a published poem. He was a hard worker and loved helping others.
He is survived by his father, Cephas A. Milbourne Sr. (Beverly) of Burlington, NJ, his siblings, Cephas A. Milbourne Jr. (Courtney) of Smyra, De., Kecia D. Milbourne of Clayton, DE, and Clopell Rhodes of Burlington,NJ, his grandfather, Eugene Magee of Hurlock, Md.,Phyllis Wharton, of Withams, Va., an uncle Gerald Wharton(Debra), of Temperville, Va., two aunts Cynthia Wharton-Douglas, of Temperville, Va. and Eugenia(Ricky), two god-fathers, Larry Watson, Smyra, De. and Edward Sampson of Hurlock, Md., one god mother Zelda Robinson of Mt. Vernon, NY., his nieces and nephews, Aaron Milbourne, Nastassja Milbourne, Nyree Seay, Sean Perry, Alaura Gummerson, and Eleanor Gummerson, and a host of aunts, uncles, special aunts, cousins, and friends. A special friend of 5 years, Latawin Wilson. He was a father figure to Evanni, Kareem, Quineek, and Dominic.
He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jacqueline B. Magee, and his grandmother, Mildred Magee, and grandfather William Wharton.
Funeral services for him will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11am at Mt. Cavalry United Methodist Church in Preston, MD, with Reverend Darlene Dixon officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Preston, MD.
