Brenda Marie Phillips Liddell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 64, in Seaford, DE. She was born on December 24, 1960, in Salisbury, MD, to Frederick Paul Phillips and Elaine Ruth Meredith Phillips, who had the fortune of raising a daughter whose warmth and dedication touched the lives of everyone she met.
Brenda's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and creativity. She was preceded in death by her devoted father, Frederick Paul Phillips, her brothers George Pavloski and Barry Phillips, and her cherished granddaughter, Charlotte "Charlie" Elizabeth Hebberecht. Brenda's spirit remains alive in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry forward her legacy of love.
Brenda is survived by her life time friend and loving husband, Glenn Allen Liddell 4th. He was her partner in life and brought many years of happiness to her. She nurtured three daughters, Nicole Elaine Atkinson Hastings from her first marriage. Elizabeth Marie Anthony Hitch, and Jaclyn Danielle Anthony Todd from her second marriage with Bruce Hackett Anthony. Brenda also embraced her role as a stepmother to Jennifer Lee Liddell Ganly and Glenn Allen Liddell 5th. She enriched their lives with her love and support. Her family continued to grow with 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who will remember her not only as a grandmother but as a friend and a storyteller who could bring magic into their everyday lives.
As one of seven siblings, Brenda was cherished by her five brothers and one sister, who along with their extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, will miss her loving presence deeply. Brenda was known for being everyone's mom, a devoted figure in their lives who could always be counted on during times of need or celebration. Her infectious warmth and spirit made her the life of the party, and her storytelling ability could captivate an audience, weaving tales that would leave everyone in stitches or on the edge of their seats.
Brenda had a profound appreciation for the beauty of life, which she expressed through her hobbies and interests. An artist at heart, she found happiness in painting, drawing and photography, capturing moments of beauty and love. Her passion for music filled her home with love and singing and dancing around the house, while her love for nature drew her to mountains and sunsets, where she found peace and inspiration. A dedicated fan of the Ravens, she brought enthusiasm to every game, sharing her excitement with family and friends.
Brenda's unexpected passing due to a heart attack has left a profound void in the lives of those who loved her. While her absence will be felt deeply, the memories she created will continue to bring comfort, laughter and peace. Brenda Marie Liddell was a shining light in this world, a devoted mother and grandmother, an artist, and a friend. Her spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A private memorial service will be held to honor Brenda's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you cherish the memories of Brenda and share stories that celebrate her life. She will be missed more than words can express, but her love will remain a guiding light for her family and all who knew her.
