Since the passing of my dear Aunt Brenda, I think of all the wonderful memories full of joy and laughter she left behind. Babe, as we called her, has been a constant encouragement to the entire family. Her example of overcoming her trials and challenges throughout her life will always be with me.
I was blessed to be born in the same house as Brenda and only eight years younger. Truly a gift it was to have experienced the love and affection she gave without a ever feeling a jealous heart. Somehow she always had enough, happiness, laughter, and candy for all the generations.
Brenda had eyes opened wide and a heart ready to burst for all the babies that came along. Arms ready to hold each one in the Simms family.
Her life started out in a slow pace but gradually she quickened her speed and flourished in many ways. She became a productive worker, traveler, and accomplished many things. Although our hearts are heavy, lets allow our memory of Brenda to draw us closer to God and his son Jesus Christ. Like she always said, "I'm just fine... Thank the LORD!"
(Galatians 6:9 Do not tire out.)
