Brian Scott Martin's Obituary
Brian Scott Martin, 39, passed peacefully at his home in Linkwood, MD, surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born in Baltimore, MD, on October 29, 1985, Brian was the beloved son of Karen (Martin) Hubbard. He grew up in Denton, MD, and also spent part of his life in Queen Anne, MD.
Brian worked for several years in construction, specializing in home building, and later was a staff member at the winery in Saint Michaels. In his free time, he enjoyed skateboarding-often watching countless skateboarding videos-along with drawing and fishing. He was known for his quick wit, his one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and his ability to make any situation lighter.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Brian would say he had a rare and beautiful soul. His character was abundant-humble, generous, and full of love. Willing and happy to give anyone whatever they needed, literally giving the shoes off his feet to a homeless woman in Ocean City. He carried a warm and gentle heart through life, never allowing hardship to harden his heart. In his later years, he often said the only ladies he needed in his life were his mother, his sisters, and his daughter. He cherished the time he spent with them and was deeply grateful for every gift, big or small, that life brought his way.
Left to mourn Brian's passing are his mother, Karen Hubbard; his daughter, Roxanna Martin; his sisters, Brittany Potts and Shelly Hubbard; his nephews, Atreyu Roe, Spencer Roe, and Thane Potts; his many friends; and the family dog, Sunshine, whom he affectionately called his "little sister." He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Victoria Martin.
Services for Brian will be private.
