Bruce Henry's Obituary
Bruce Henry of Greenwood peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, on September 27, 2023. He was 77. Bruce was born in Milford on December 21, 1945, the son of the late Jim and Naoma Henry. Bruce was a 1963 graduate of Greenwood High School. He was retired from Delmarva Builders, Inc., where he was the owner. He served on the Delaware Electric Co-op board since August 1978 and was the former Board Vice-Chairman. He also represented Delaware Electric Cooperative on the Board of Old Dominion Electric Cooperative from 1995 to 2021. He attained the Credentialed Cooperative Director and Board Leadership Certification. Bruce enjoyed watching sports, reading, napping in his lazy boy, and just sitting on the porch. He especially liked spending time with his grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his wife Donna L. Henry, and survived by his two sons, Brian (Lisa) Henry and Brent (Paul Spillane) Henry; three grandchildren, Ethan, Sarah and Wade Henry; a brother, David Henry (Bev); a sister, Tina Bartley (Allen) and extended family and many friends.
Funeral service will be noon, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at St. Johnstown United Methodist Church, Greenwood where friends may call from 11 AM to noon. Internment will be at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood. Arrangements by Framptom Funeral Home, Greenwood.
