Bruce Norman Meredith's Obituary
"Prominent business leader, Bruce Norman Meredith, 82, of Federalsburg passes away Friday August 7, 2015 at his home in Federalsburg surrounded by family".
He was born in Smithville; near Federalsburg, on December 24, 1932 the son of the late Norman and Helen Smith Meredith.
He was a graduate of Federalsburg High School in 1951. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955; during the Korean conflict.
He worked for RCA in Easton, later for Evey's TV and then owned and operated Meredith's TV and Appliances for over 25 years and was later joined by his son, Marty.
He was a life-member of Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company, where he was a past President and Chief. In 1984, Mr. Meredith earned Fireman of the year. He was also a member of the VFW Post # 5246.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Elinore Moore Meredith whom he married on August 11, 1956, 3 children; Michael Bruce Meredith and Theresa of Preston, Martin Brian Meredith of Federalsburg, Melanie Meredith Covey and Jay of Preston, and two half-brothers, Jerry Meredith and Eddie Meredith, Grandchildren, Heather Meredith (Eric), Branden Meredith (Heather), Meredith Blades, Jamison Covey and Madison Covey, and two step grandchildren Trey Covey and Danielle Covey, 6 great grandchildren, Taylor Meredith, Jacob Meredith, Gregory Meredith, Sophia Meredith, Devin Lord, Chloe Lord; four special sisters-in-law, Joyce Jacobs, Sarah Anne Archer, Florence Meredith, and Anne Meredith; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Meredith and Donald Meredith, and two sisters, Irene Tull and Bernice Andrew.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. A fireman's service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
