Carl Melvin Marine's Obituary
Carl Melvin Marine passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. He was 85.
He was born on December 28, 1931 in Eldorado, Maryland, the son of the late Carl Vandyke Marine and Mabel Wainwright Marine.
He graduated from Hurlock High School, and later began his career at E.I. DuPont in Seaford, DE. He was married to Marlene V. French Marine who preceded him in death. He later married Barbara Banning Marine and they made their home in Federalsburg.
He earned a Masters of Theology degree from the International Bible Institute and Seminary in Plymouth, FL. He was an ordained minister with Steven Sumrall Ministries in South Bend, Indiana. Up until his recent illness, he faithfully conducted Bible studies on Eschatology (the biblical study of end-time prophecies and the events of the last days.) He attended Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Banning Marine of Greenwood, DE, two children, Marvin Marine of Roanoke, VA, and Melinda Messick of Milford, DE, four step-children, Marcel Banning Mellein of Torrance, CA, Stewart Thomas Granger of Easton, MD, Traci Carole Chapin of Greenwood, DE, and Shane Patrick Granger of Easton, 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, G. Gerald Banning and his wife Sue of Federalsburg, J. Edward Banning and his wife Deana of Seaford, DE, and Janet Banning Brown of Seaford, DE. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Renee Wade and a step-granddaughter, Katelyn Moore.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 at the Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown with the Reverend Ron Wyatt officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Interment will be private.
