Carol D. Buckley's Obituary
The world has lost an Angel with the passing of our dear sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and loyal friend Carol Buckley, age 72, of Milford, Delaware. We know she is in heaven smiling and looking down at us.
A life well lived is the only way to describe the time Carol spent on this earth. Words cannot express the love, friendship, and kindnesses she bestowed on so many and in turn received. She followed the Golden Rule as all should, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." She is an example to all and her hope is that she made a difference while here on this Earth.
Carol created a positive impact on so many wherever she worked. As a nurse, she is remembered for her soft-spoken care and kind touch. Nursing was a passion for her. She also had the task of single-handedly raising her family as her husband Edward passed on when the children were young. She overcame obstacles and burdens that others would not have been able to face, let alone conquer. However, her demeanor remained one of gratitude and thankfulness to have the family and friends that surrounded her.
Carol is survived by so many. Her son Edward Buckley Jr., daughters Danielle and Denise, sisters Martha and Susan, brother Bernard, grandchildren Edward III, Devin, Zoey, Lexis and Lenix, Joseph (JJ), her precious Lily, fur babies Cali and Scarlet, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and those who gravitated to her and received loving care as if they were her own. She had so much love to give and never excluded anyone. Many in Heaven are thrilled that she has joined them including her husband Edward, in-laws Allen and Cora Buckley, sons Allen and Kris, brother James Buckley III, sister Gail Wright, and parents James and Susan Buckley.
Please join with us as we show our love and respect to Carol on Saturday, 14 October 2023. The viewing begins at 10:30, with funeral services beginning at 11:30 at the Framptom Funeral Home Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood. Burial will take place at Oakley Cemetery beside her beloved husband Edward and son Allen near Ellendale.
