Caroline Oliphant's Obituary
Caroline Oliphant died at her home in Smyrna on Monday, December 4, 2011. She was 75.
She was born in Easton, Maryland on December 5, 1935 the daughter of the late Conrad and Ernestine Kleinwachter Fuchs.
For many years she owned and operated a package store and owned other commercial properties.
She is survived by a son, Thomas W. Oliphant of Baton Rouge, LA, a brother, Edward Fuchs and his wife Joann of Preston, a sister Louise Nichols of Hurlock and several nieces and nephews. A brother, James Fuchs preceded her in death.
Funeral services for her will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston, MD with Rev. Thomas Becker officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
The family has suggested that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society 1315 Mt. Herman Road Suite D, Salisbury, Maryland 21804.
