Catherine Burton Bailey's Obituary
Catherine Burton Bailey, 83, of Federalsburg, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. She was born on September 26, 1934 in Georgetown, DE.
She was the daughter of the late Howard S. Brittingham and Leva Brittingham.
She was a loving wife and mother of two children. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was employed at Gant Shirt Makers in Seaford, DE in the early 1970’s and later became employed at Airpax in Cambridge, MD as a production worker.
She was married for 53 years to Phillip Bailey, whom she married on December 24, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2009.
She is survived by her children, Karen Bailey of Federalsburg, MD, Wayne Bailey (Donna) of Federalsburg, MD, 6 grandchildren, Melissa Gay, Michael Willin, Nicole Boone (Jordan), Angela Bozman (Rob), Rachael Bailey, and Christopher Bailey, 6 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Gay, Katherine Willin, BrookLynn Willin, Ayden Boone, and Lillian Boone. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Brittingham and her sister, Mary Hausle.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2pm at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD with Reverend Foard officiating. Friends may call on the family from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Bailey, Tommy Lankford, Mark Robbins, Rob Bozman, Michael Willin, and Jordan Boone.
