Catherine Elizabeth (Krebs) Allen's Obituary
Catherine E. Allen Easton, Catherine E. (Krebs) Allen, age 84, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday evening, July 1, 2014 at the William Hill Manor, Easton, MD. Born on December 1, 1929 in Baltimore, MD. she was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Votel) Krebs. A lifelong resident of the eastern shore of Maryland, Catherine loved flower gardening, caring for her pets, and was an avid orioles fan. She never met a stranger, and was friendly and kind to all she met. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and cherished her family. She most recently attended Pioneer Baptist Church in Thurmont, MD. Catherine worked at Big AL’s, in St. Michaels, The Sewing factory in Easton, MD. , and retired from Black & Decker in Easton, MD. in 1992. She is survived by her son; Thomas Thompson and his wife Marie of Easton, MD; her daughter; Cherly Simpson and her husband Daniel of Hagerstown, MD; her step-daughter; Roseann Sewell and her husband Frank of Grant, FL; and her step-son William Thompson and his wife Debbie of Berwyn Heights, MD; as well as eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, she is also survived by a lifelong friend, Betty Ostrowski of Bozman, MD. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; Walter Krebs and Robert Krebs. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00AM, at the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels, MD; Immediately followed by the graveside service at Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton, MD; with Pastor, James Coblentz of the Pioneer Baptist Church, Thurmont, MD. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
